Our History

In over 40 years of history, the goal of Gestion George Coulombe has always been to bring buildings back to life while respecting their history and integrating them into the present.
buildingHistoire
It was this passion that first led Georges Coulombe to acquire his first building in 1976, to house the offices of his own graphic design company. The building at 296 Saint-Paul marked the beginning of a great adventure in Old Montreal. At a time when the occupancy rate in the historic district was hovering around 50%, it took a visionary to make a series of building acquisitions in the area.
Following the founding of the company, Georges Coulombe’s management projects were quickly extended to the whole of Old Montreal, passing from Saint-Paul, Saint-Pierre, Saint-Nicolas, McGill, Notre-Dame, de Brésoles streets and several others. As of today, GGC accumulates achievements in several neighborhoods of Montreal, such as the Latin Quarter, Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, the Southwest, Griffintown and Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie.
GGC’s expertise is now being deployed outside the Greater Montreal area with the acquisition of of buildings in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and in the Laurentians with the purchase in 2015 of StoneHaven Le Manoir, a first step in the hospitality industry.
Georges Coulombe: More than a property manager
Meeting people, understanding their needs and allowing them to evolve in places that represent them, this is the mission that Georges Coulombe has given himself since 1982. In addition to being the head of one of the most ambitious real estate groups in Greater Montreal, Mr. Coulombe is involved in numerous philanthropic projects, such as the Haut-Richelieu Lock and the Bouthillier House in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. His role as founding president of the SDC of Old Montreal and president of AGIL are just a few examples of his involvement in the Montreal business society.
Today, GGC has more than 1.2 million square feet for nearly 30 buildings. We are proud to say that our team is committed to continuing on our mission with our 200 tenants.
